Matt is all about creating people-centered technical solutions that are effective and as intuitive and non-burdonsome to use as possible. This ranges from designing implementing education technology projects, leading software development and design projects targeted to help those in developing communities, and GIS related projects that help people better interpret and understand data for monitoring and evaluation.
Matt currently works as a Project Manager and Technical Advisor at United Methodist Communications helping design and implement projects related to technology in the developing world. Previously Matt served as an engineer with Inveneo, both leading and supporting projects in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Botswana, and Kenya. Prior to this Matt spent nearly 4 years in dynamic roles at World Vision US to engage American college students to engage with developing communities abroad and domestically. He was also influential in designing the framework for World Vision International in regards to Community Knowledge Center and telecenter design, which is being used globally.
Matt holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from West Virginia University and a Masters of Science in Information and Communication Technology and Development (ICTD) from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
