Lauren Woodman

NetHope
Chief Executive Officer

Lauren Woodman joined NetHope as chief executive officer in January 2014, bringing 25 years of leadership experience in technology, policy, development and education in the public and private sectors to the role, but more importantly, a sense of urgency to the need to leverage technology more effectively to address global crises.

NetHope shares technology, research and best practices between its nonprofit members and the tech community. Whether it is deploying connectivity solutions to support humanitarian response or tapping Silicon Valley expertise to improve the work of member nonprofits, the NetHope community works collaboratively and collectively to solve the world’s hardest problems.

This same intersection of tech and development have defined Lauren's career, which includes a graduate degree in foreign policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, a stint at the United Nations, Earned Value Professional at the Software and Information Industry Association and more than a decade running Microsoft's global education and government programs. All of this led to Lauren joining NetHope, taking on the opportunity to help NetHope and its members harness the power of technology to drive impact, guide the tech industry’s desire to make a positive difference in the world and help non-governmental organizations and donors to be responsible stewards of the precious resources available to help those in need.

With her husband and two small daughters, Lauren lives in Seattle.
